A+M Hire has been supplying Film, Television and Theatre for many years we have a vast experience to offer in the area of prop hire.

We pride ourselves on the friendly no nonsense attitude of which we have become well known. If you get a chance we would much prefer you come in and see the stock first hand, but weappreciatee that time can be a problem so we hope our site will help you.

A+M Studios contained within the same building, have now been running for some years. Consisting of 2 well maintained blackout/daylight photographic studios with office space, direct telephone lines and free off street parking thier well worth a look. Please see the Studio pages for information.

Quality is a must for any hire company and here is where you'll find it. Our stock is largely genuine antiques or highest quality reproductions but in addition we do stock some very usefull set made pieces which we have found adds an extra element to our business. Hopefully if you can't find it elsewhere you'll find it here!.

CONDITIONS OF PROP HIRE
1.
A+M Hire Limited (hereinafter called the Company) let goods for hire on the following terms and conditions and will not be bound by any other conditions.
2.
The goods hired remain the property of the Company and in no case shall the person, firm or company (hereinafter called the Hirer) hiring the same be deemed to have any right to purchase the said goods.
3.
No warranty is given that the goods hired are suitable for any particular purpose.
4.
(a) The goods hired shall be collected by the Hirer at the Company's warehouse.
(b) The Hirer must provide a duly authorised representative to collect the same and to give a written receipt and failure to do so shall preclude any right of the Hirer to dispute subsequently the facts of the collection and the Hirer will be deemed to have accepted the goods hired.
(c) Unless the Hirer informs the Company in writing within forty eight hours of the goods being hired of: (I) Goods not received (ii) Goods damaged, the same shall be deemed to have been received in good order and condition.
5.
(a) The Hirer undertakes to keep the goods hired in good order and condition and to return the same to the Company in such order and condition.
(b) The Hirer is solely responsible for the goods hired from the time of collection and must fully insure against all risks.
6.
The hire ends only when all the goods hired have been accepted back by the Company at its warehouse and a receipt is given by the Company's representative therefore.
7.
Any instructions of the Hirer which differ from the original terms of order will only be carried out if given in writing to and accepted by the Company.
8.
No forms or means of representation shall be made or used of any of the goods hired nor shall any of the goods hired be repainted, altered or defaced in any manner without the prior written consent of the Company and then upon such terms as the Company in its absolute discretion imposes.
9.
The goods hired shall not be lent, pledged, assigned, hired or otherwise dealt with by the Hirer nor shall the Hirer remove, obliterate, deface or cover up any plate, label or other mark on the goods hired indicating that the same are the property of the Company.
10.
If the Hirer fails to return all or any of the goods hired at the end of the agreed period or within seven days from the Company making a written demand therefore the Company shall be entitled (in addition to the hire charge for the agreed period of hire) as liquidated and ascertained damages to either:
(a) hire rental at the rate of 10% per day of the risk value (R V), as ascertained by the Company, of the goods not returned as aforesaid until their actual return to the Company, or
(b) (at the option of the Company) a sum equal to the insurance value (I V), as ascertained by the Company, of the goods not returned plus all other charges incurred to that date.
11.
Should for any reason the Company agree to sell any of the goods hired to the Hirer whether during or subsequent to the period of hire, the hire rental of such goods shall in no case be required to be credited against the agreed purchase price.
12.
The Company will endeavour to meet all commitments but cannot be held responsible for delay due to circumstances beyond its control.


A+M STUDIOS CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1.
A+M Hire Limited (hereinafter called the Company) let studios for hire on the following terms and conditions and will not be bound by any other conditions.
2.
Confirmation of bookings must be made three working days before the required hire date verbally or in writing. This is not inclusive of weekends. If this is not undertaken the Company is within its right to hire the facilities to another party.
3.
Notification of cancellation received within 48 hours prior to the confirmed date will incur a charge 50% of agreed studio hire rate. If cancellation is received within 24 hours prior to the confirmed date the full charge will apply. This is not inclusive of weekends.
4.
Block bookings of a week or more cannot be accepted as options but must be confirmed in writing at least 10 working days before the desired start date. Cancellations will incur a charge of £600/week.
5.
Payment for studio hire and any additional items must be made on the day of hire unless the hirer has an account set up with the Company.
6.
Any instructions of the Hirer which differ from the original terms of order will only be carried out if given in writing to and accepted in writing by the Company.
7.
Equipment must be returned in the condition in which it was received. Damaged items must be replaced or the repair costs met by the hirer.
(a) The Hirer undertakes to keep the goods hired in good order and condition and to return the same to the Company in such order and condition.
(b) The Hirer is solely responsible for the goods hired from the time of placement within the studio and must fully insure against all risks.
8.
Special hospitality requirements must be confirmed verbally or in writing, one week before the hire date.
9.
Overtime is chargeable at £50 per hour both before 8:30 am and after 6:00 pm up until 11:00 pm and is applicable for the period spent setting up and striking a shoot from Monday to Friday.
